On a brilliant day at Blue Lake you can take a hike along the North Fork Trail. The Medicine Bow Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Man, is there plenty of fun things to do in the vicinity of Blue Lake. After a long day outdoors Americas Best Value Inn Bighorn Lodge is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Lakes? Sure, Hang Lake is around here. Camping is available at       Skyline Campground, and going for a hike along the Blue Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. High temperatures at Blue Lake during the long summer days are in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 30's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Blue Lake dip into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Tunnel Campground while                  you're here at Blue Lake; get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of Joe Wright Creek. Timber Lake is a great lake near Blue Lake; you can run the rapids of Cache La Poudre River. All year is a perfect time in the Medicine Bow Mountains if you adore the outdoors. At Blue Lake you can see Cameron Peak, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the West Branch Trail.
