The skiing at Aspen Highlands is great, and not far from Blue Lake you'll locate Lost Man Lake which is a beautiful lake. So much fun stuff to do here in the Sawatch Range, too splendid to be true. A tremendous place to camp here at Blue Lake is Portal Campground; hiking along the Mount Elbert Trail is great fun. Man, is there plenty of entertaining stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch       is a delightful place to get some rest; do take a hike on the Highline Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Lost Man Campground is a pleasant local campground, and there are some great whitewater spots on Lake Creek. Blue Lake is commonly a pretty waterless location; most of the rain falls all through August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Twining Peak is clearly visible                  from Blue Lake, and Blue Lake is right by the Mount Massive Trail. A nice location to pop by close to Blue Lake is Independence Pass. Blue Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sawatch Range. There's whitewater on Roaring Fork for all you adrenaline people. Lakes are good; Independence Lake is a lake that's near Blue Lake. During the summer months highs here at Blue Lake reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's.
