Blue Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Blue Lake gets very little precipitation; most of the rain falls all through August; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Lost Man Campground, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Highline Trail. Be careful coming to the Sawatch Range, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Ski Cooper is a very popular ski area close by, and of course, A trip to Independence
