If you are in Hinsdale county it's always a good idea to stop by Blue Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Thirtymile Campground is a good location to camp, and Mesa Lato is simple to spot from Blue Lake. Blue Lake is a good place of typical rain; during August this area sees the most rain while June is regularly the driest month. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the San Juan Mountains has to offer.

High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Blue Lake temperatures descend to the-10's. Elk Lake is a splendid lake right next door to Blue Lake, and Vallecito Creek is a good whitewater spot nearby. Blue Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan Mountains.

Lake. Don't leave Blue Lake without first going for a hike along the Devil Mountain Trail; the snow is brilliant at Silverton. Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! The San Juan Mountains rules! Good hiking is available along
the Whitehead Trail; in case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Grande. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Lost Trail Campground, and you can go for a hike on the Fern Creek Stock Driveway.
