Blue Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. A tour to Buck Basin revives the soul, and a magnificent place nearby is Daisy Pass. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Lowline Trail, and after a long day outdoors Crested Butte Intl. Lodge & Hostel is a magnificent spot to spend a night or two. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Irwin Lodge if you're here.

| | along the Trail Riders Trail; if you came to camp Lost Lake Campground is a magnificent location to do that. Throughout the summertime months at Blue Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's while overnight lows are usually in the 40's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Blue Lake plunge into the-10's. The summits of the Ruby Range add much beauty to the vicinity around Blue Lake; one of the principal features of the surroundings of Blue Lake is Afley Peak.
Get wet paddling on Daisy Creek, and Elevation Hotel & Spa is a glorious spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Blue Lake, for example Green Lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do
around Blue Lake; Munsey Ruby Stock Driveway is a splendid local trail.
All the outdoors amusing stuff in the neighborhood of Blue Lake will keep you coming back time and again. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Slate River, and camping at Avery Peak Campground is always a nice experience.
