You'll need more than a day to discover everything Blue Lake has to offer, you can camp at Timber Creek Campground; Blue Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Winding River Resort is a good site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Near Blue Lake you locate the Mineral Point Trail which is a good hiking trail, and hey, Gotta ski right? SolVista is a pleasant location       to do that. Man, is there plenty of entertaining stuff to do next to Blue Lake. Summertime highs at Blue Lake usually tend to be in the 70's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 30's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's; after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Blue Lake fall into the 0's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Willow Creek, and a brilliant view of wonderful Baker Mountain is available. Not                  much precipitation falls here at Blue Lake; May is when you get the most rain here while January is usually the driest month. Going for a hike on the Bowen Trail is always a glorious adventure, and if you've had enough of Blue Lake, Ruby Lake is nearby. A wonderful nearby hotel is Inn At Grand Lake, The, and Blue Lake is close to Bowen Pass which is unquestionably worth a visit. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Very lovely scenery and good skiing is what you get at Berthoud Pass, and since you're here you can play some golf at Grand Lake Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Cache La Poudre River; Blue Lake is not the only place close by, Bowen Lake is a close by lake.
