What a nice lake Blue Lake is. You can run the rapids of Willow Creek in the vicinity of Blue Lake, and if you need a site to stay Gateway Inn Restaurant Cnf Ctr is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. The Baker Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close to Blue Lake, and on a nice day you can take a hike along the Bowen Trail. At Blue Lake through the summer months highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 30's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Blue Lake. You could also stop at Lost Lake while you're here at Blue Lake; it's nearby, and you could always discover Bowen Pass. This lake is so wonderful. At Grand Lake, The is a splendid place to get some rest. Very striking scenery and delightful skiing is what you get at Berthoud Pass, and if you came to camp Timber Creek Campground is a perfect spot to do that. The top of Baker
Mountain is easily distinguished from Blue Lake; a brilliant spot for whitewater paddling is Cache La Poudre River.
If the weather is fine here at Blue Lake, you can go for a hike along the Mineral Point Trail.
