While you're here at Blue Lake you can take a hike along the South Fork Trail, and if you came to camp Stunner Campground is a glorious place to do that. Yeah, come here to Blue Lake for a glorious time. If you need a site to stay Allington Inn and Suites is a brilliant choice, and a perfect spot for whitewater paddling is San Juan River - East Fork. That right there is heaps of enjoyable       stuff already but it goes on, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has it all. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Conejos River. Throughout the months of summer at Blue Lake highs are mostly in the 60's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Blue Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Blue Lake gets a good deal of water; March is when                  you get the most snow here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Take a little spree to Middle Fork Conejos River if you're here at Blue Lake, and going for a hike along the Continental Divide Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Be careful coming to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again. Timber Lake is a great lake close to Blue Lake, and on a great day you can take a hike along the San Juan Stock Driveway. This lake is so wonderful.
