Blue Lake is pretty arid regularly; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Summer at Blue Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Blue Lake. If you love the outdoors, you'll fancy Blue Lake. Colorado Mines Peak       can be seen from Blue Lake, and there's whitewater on Woods Creek for all you adrenaline people. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Blue Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Second Creek Campground is a magnificent spot for that, and you might also want to pay a visit to Berthoud Pass if you're here at Blue Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Clear Creek - West Fork; you can have a delightful                  hiking adventure along the Mary Jane Ski Trail. Head up to Winter Park and strap some skis to your feet, and this is a popular place for people from Silverthorne. So many entertaining things to do here at Blue Lake, too great to be true. Some close by water includes Blue Creek. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Blue Lake has to offer, you can camp at Floral Park Campground. Lakes? Sure, Chinns Lake is close at hand. Hiking along the Mount Nystrom Trail is nice fun, and the snow is great at Berthoud Pass. A great nearby hotel is Iron Horse Resort, and not far from Blue Lake you'll discover Upper Chinns Reservoir which is a stunning lake.
