After a long day outdoors Zephyr Mountain Lodge is a delightful spot to spend a night or two, and camping is available at Floral Park Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Winter Park is a magnificent local ski area, and if you came for an overnight stay Second Creek Campground is a pleasant spot to camp. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Berthoud Pass, and dry warm beds await you at Winter       Park Mountain Lodge. It is very dry here at Blue Lake ordinarily; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. There are some glorious whitewater spots on Woods Creek, and splendid hiking is available along the Mount Nystrom Trail. This place, Blue Lake, it simply has so much outdoors cool stuff. There's splendid hiking along the Mary Jane Ski Trail, and if you've had enough of Blue Lake, Ethel Lake                  is nearby. Nearby Berthoud Pass is a fine site to go if you're at Blue Lake. Some of the water close by flows, like Blue Creek; don't leave Blue Lake without first going for a hike along the Sevenmile Ski Trail. For the period of the summertime here at Blue Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Blue Lake tend to be in the 0's.
