The beauty of Blind Lake attracts many people from all around. So many enjoyable things to do here at Blind Lake, too brilliant to be true. If the weather is beautiful, you acquire a tremendous sight of Gibson Peak from Blind Lake. Lakes are magnificent; Cherry Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Blind Lake. Getting to Stinking Arroyo from Blind Lake is uncomplicated, and going for a hike on the Cotton Trail is always a great adventure. You absolutely have

| | to fancy the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Lake Creek Campground is a tremendous local campground, and if you need a place to stay AppleLodge Bed And Breakfast is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Blind Lake. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Blind Lake temperatures plunge to the 10's. | |

Man, is there a lot of exciting stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay North Crestone Campground is a great spot to camp, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop
by nearby Rito Alto Lake. Blind Lake gets very little precipitation; throughout August this area sees the most rain, and January is when it's the driest. Don't leave Blind Lake without first going for a hike along the Hermit Lake
Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Arkansas River. Blind Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There are great locations to explore along the Rito Alto Trail, and Kolkman Basin is a delightful location to check out.

 | Trail is awful, disappearing and reappearing every now and again. Thorn bushes and trash cover what little trail is easy to navigate. Trail disappears completely before you actually reach the lake. Also it appears that an axe murderer has taken up residence in the upperwoods. Be careful and travel in large groups if you plan to try and make it to the lake. It is easy to get lost so mark your trail well.... |
