You can take a little visit to McKoon Dam since you're here at Blanchard Reservoir, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Powderhorn since you're here. While you're       here at Blanchard Reservoir you can take a hike along the Lily Lake Trail, and if you came to camp Fish Hawk Campground is a great location to do that. Around Blanchard Reservoir you don’t get a lot of precipitation; most of the rain falls during October, and January on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the High Foot Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge. For the period of the summer                  at Blanchard Reservoir highs are frequently in the 90's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's while the cold winter nights at Blanchard Reservoir are in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Crag Crest Trail; if you've had enough of Blanchard Reservoir, Pedro Reservoir is nearby. This is no place for people who don’t like to have a good time.
