After a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn & Suites Steamboat Springs is a glorious place to spend a night or two; if you're here you can take a hike along the High Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful close by hotel is Oak Tree Inn Yampa. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Black Mandall Lake has to offer,       you can camp at Trapline Campground. Black Mandall Lake is pretty dried out regularly; the month with most of the snow is March while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a brilliant time here at Black Mandall Lake. Going for a hike along the South Derby Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and you can stay the night at Bucks Campground. All through the days of summer at Black                  Mandall Lake highs are commonly in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Black Mandall Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Getting to Smith Creek from Black Mandall Lake is trouble-free. A visit to Mandall Pass is always fun, and Orno Peak is pretty and can be spotted from here.
