Black Lake Number 1 Reservoir is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Hit the slopes at Breckenridge close by; there's whitewater on Arkansas River for all you adrenaline people. Get your heart pumping on the pleasant whitewater of Arkansas River, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Copper Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. one with the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant place right next door to Black Lake Number 1 Reservoir is Shrine Pass; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Wheeler Trail.
One of the principal traits of the surroundings of Black Lake Number 1 Reservoir is Uneva Peak, and Black Lakes Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. Summer brings highs in the 70's to Black Lake Number 1 Reservoir. For the
period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Black Lake Number 1 Reservoir are in the 0's. Stay the night at Gore Creek Campground, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Deluge Lake Trail.
