All through the days of summer at Black Lake highs are regularly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 30's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Black Lake. Interesting geology is available here; Chasm View is right next door to Black Lake; why not a little side tour to Andrews Creek. Black Lake is pretty       waterless regularly; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and November is when it's the driest. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Front Range. On a great day at Black Lake you can take a hike along the Long Peak Trail. Don't you try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a nice time here at Black Lake. Skiing at Berthoud Pass is one of those things you just should do, and a pretty lake like Solitude Lake is a brilliant spot                  to visit. If you need a place to stay Alpine Trail Ridge Inn is a magnificent choice, and you might also want to pay a visit to The Keyhole while you're here at Black Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. Now, you may feel that's plenty but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Black Lake. If the weather is great here at Black Lake, you can go for a hike along the Loch Vale Trail, and Frozen Lake is a magnificent lake nearby. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the Front Range has to offer. The Lion Lake Trail is a great hiking trail in the neighborhood of Black Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Black Lake has to offer, you can camp at Glacier Basin Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A short journey to Gllcier Falls is always worthwhile, and a great spot for whitewater paddling is Saint Vrain Creek - North. Having a brilliant time in the Front Range is uncomplicated. Do set aside some time for Boulder Field if you're here at Black Lake. There's so much to do here at Black Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Estes Park Campground is a tremendous location for that. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Peak To Peak Lodge Inc., and Arrowhead is clearly visible from Black Lake.
