Andrews Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit; Black Lake is not the only site close by, Solitude Lake is a close by lake. Hiking along the Loch Vale Trail is perfect fun. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Black Lake has to offer, you can camp at Glacier Basin Campground. This lake is so wonderful. A short journey to Gllcier Falls is always worthwhile; Boulder Field is a great location to check       out. While you're here at Black Lake you can take a hike along the Lion Lake Trail, and do pay a visit to Rocky Mountain National Park if you're here at Black Lake. So many exciting things to do at Black Lake, so little time. Going for a hike along the Long Peak Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and if you need a spot to stay Peak To Peak Lodge Inc. is a great choice. Yep, outdoors cool stuff truly is plentiful here in the Front                  Range. A day on the slopes of Berthoud Pass is just what you need. High temperatures at Black Lake all through the days of summer are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Black Lake. So many exciting things to do in the Front Range, not enough time. There are some great whitewater spots on Saint Vrain Creek - North; the top of Arrowhead is easily made out from Black Lake. Around Black Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and November meanwhile is the driest month. This location is great, just explore all the cool things to do next to Black Lake. The Keyhole is near Black Lake and is positively a great place to have a look at; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Boulder Creek. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Front Range. There's so much to do here at Black Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Estes Park Campground is a delightful place for that; if you get bored of Black Lake you could also go to close by Frozen Lake. The Front Range scenery is always beautiful.
