There's so much to do here at Black Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Pawnee - Arapaho National Forest is a pleasant spot for that, and there's delightful hiking along the Jug Trail. Black Lake is pretty waterless commonly; May is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. Any time is a pleasant time at Black Lake if you go for the outdoors.
