The slopes of Copper Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and Black Lake is not the only place close by, Black Lake Number 2 is a close by lake. Here at Black Lake you can spot Uneva Peak, and a good location to camp here at Black Lake is Gore Creek Campground. At Black Lake during the months of summer highs are in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the wintertime this place gets       highs in the 20's; after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Black Lake drop into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Black Lake without first going for a hike along the Wheeler Trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Breckenridge. This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like Corral Creek, and get drenched paddling on Arkansas River. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Arkansas River, and                  a pleasant close by hotel is Timber Creek Condominums. Be careful coming to Black Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again. There are perfect locations to explore along the Wheeler Dillion Trail. The fine people of Silverthorne like to hang out nearby, and you can go for a hike on the Deluge Lake Trail. At Black Lake you don’t see much precipitation; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most while February is regularly the driest month. If you want a little side tour, try Shrine Pass, and if you get bored of Black Lake you could also explore close by Black Lake Number 1 Reservoir. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Black Lake.
