Go to Black Lake if you want to go to a nice lake. Black Lake gets very little rain; through July this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. Take a little trip to Corral Creek since you're here at Black Lake, and if you need a location to stay New Village is a splendid choice. While you're here at Black Lake you can take a hike along the Deluge Lake Trail, and you can run the rapids of Arkansas River.

| | Going for a hike along the Wheeler Dillion Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and why not camp at Gore Creek Campground since you're here at Black Lake. So much cool stuff to do at Black Lake, so little time. Copper Mountain is a good local ski area, and camping is available at Black Lakes Campground. A good nearby hotel is Timber Creek Condominums, and you could always discover Shrine Pass.

nobody can resist. This lake is so wonderful. On a splendid day at Black Lake you can take a hike along the Wheeler Trail, and Uneva Peak is clearly visible from Black Lake. Lots of folks from Silverthorne come to Black Lake, and
Arkansas River is a nice whitewater spot close by.
High temperatures at Black Lake throughout the summer months are in the 70's while nighttime lows are frequently in the 40's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Black Lake temperatures dip to the 0's.
