If the weather is delightful here at Black Creek Reservoir, you can go for a hike along the Lost Lake Trail. Not much rainfall falls here at Black Creek Reservoir; August is when you get the most rain here,       and February is when it's the driest. So much exciting stuff to do at Black Creek Reservoir, so little time. Blue River is a perfect whitewater spot close to Black Creek Reservoir, and the skiing at Vail is delightful. McDonald Flats Campground is a good local campground, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can go to Black Creek Dam. A pleasant nearby hotel is Silverthorne Days Inn. Lakes?
