Billings Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. If you need a location to stay Best Western Vista Inn is a splendid choice; a great spot to camp here at Billings Lake is Monarch Park Campground. Calico Mountain is easy to spot from Billings Lake, and you're probably into lakes, Island Lake is one of those nearby. Billings Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a striking outdoors paradise.

Billings Lake dipping down into the-20's through winter nights. What a place this is for outdoors people. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Monarch, and Arkansas River is a splendid whitewater spot close by.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Buena Vista Super 8 Motel; close by you locate the Pitkin Stock Driveway which is a great hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's always North Fork Dam to check out close
to Billings Lake. Lakes are glorious; North Fork Reservoir is a lake that's close to Billings Lake. If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Sawatch Range. Chalk Creek Pass is in the vicinity of Billings
Lake and is positively a great place to stop by, and on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Fooses Creek Trail.
Billings Lake is pretty arid regularly; August is when you get the most rain here; June on the other hand
is the driest. Billings Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Garfield Campground is a tremendous local campground, and if you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Arkansas River. Billings Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sawatch Range.

Monarch is a family favorite because of great snow conditions and easy access to the mountain. Having one base area makes it convenient to drop off the little ones in the Children's Center, pick-up rental equipment, sign up for ski school and get on the slopes in a timely manner. Lift lines are a rarity and you will regularly find ski runs to yourself.
Looking for great powder, spectacular views, 1000+ acres of expert terrain, steeps, trees, cliffs, and bowls? You found it with Monarch Mountain. Check out the 130 acres of hike-to terrain in Mirkwood Basin from the top of the Breezeway Lift. Monarch Mountain Snowcat Tours offers some of the best Snowcat skiing in the state-guests enjoy skiing/riding in closely spaced trees, variable snow conditions and extremely steep slopes.

Around the park plan to be treated to a quiet atmosphere, but lots to do, including facilities for many camping-type outdoor games. We may plan a pancake breakfast or a game of bingo or play beanbag baseball or Goofy Golf. Our rec room is always busy with socializing and such things as crafts and internet access in the clubhouse, and when the sun sets, you will be drawn to our central campfire pit for live music and good old fashioned camaraderie.
