    The beauty of Bighorn Lake is reason enough to stop by. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Park Range. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Bighorn Lake has to offer, you can camp at Helena Campground. Thunderhead Lodge And Condominiums is a delightful site to get some rest, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Elk River. High temperatures at Bighorn Lake through  
   the summer are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Highs during the winter are commonly in the 20's; night lows in the-10's for Bighorn Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Lake Katherine is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Lost Ranger Trail. You just ought to fancy Bighorn Lake. There's so much to do here at Bighorn Lake that you need to camp here for
 
               a while, Beaver Creek Campground is a good place for that; magnificent skiing awaits you at Howelsen Hill. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Park Range. A tremendous close by hotel is Western Lodge; since you're here you can take a hike along the Red Dirt Pass Trail.
This lake is located in the wonderful Park Range. At Bighorn Lake you don’t see much rain; December is the month that gets the most snow; the driest of the months is August. You can never get enough of the fine skiing at Steamboat, and hiking along the Lone Pine Trail is great fun.
