     This lake is so wonderful. On a fine day at Bighorn Lake you can take a hike along the Lone Pine Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Beaver Creek Campground is a great place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is one of the great places here in the Park Range.
So much enjoyable stuff in the Park Range, just unbelievable. Near Bighorn Lake you stumble on the Red Dirt Pass Trail which is a great hiking trail, and you can never get enough of
 
   the delightful skiing at Steamboat. And if that's not enough, there's a heap more to do next to Bighorn Lake. Get soaked paddling on Elk River, and good skiing awaits you at Howelsen Hill. There is a great hiking trail near Bighorn Lake called the Lost Ranger Trail, and you're perhaps hooked on lakes, Lake Katherine is one of those close by.
And that's not everything there is to do here in the Park Range. Winterwood Townhomes is a nice site to get some rest,
 
               and if you need a site to stay CrossTimbers at Steamboat is a splendid choice. Summertime highs at Bighorn Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 20's; during the dark hours in the winter at Bighorn Lake temperatures sink to the-10's. Bighorn Lake is frequently a rather dehydrated place; most of the snow falls throughout December; August is the month with the least moisture.
This is a good vicinity for folks who like lakes. Bear Lakes is a lake in close proximity, and camping is available at Helena Campground.
