This lake is so wonderful. Some close by water includes Bear Creek; Big Stratton Reservoir is not far at all from Colorado Springs. You don’t have to go far from Big Stratton Reservoir to catch a glimpse of the water at Curr Dam, and lakes are such calm places, why not       explore Curr Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Travelodge Colorado Springs South is a good choice; enjoy a round of golf at Patty Jewett Golf Course. Near Big Stratton Reservoir you find the Palmer Trail which is a splendid hiking trail, and Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is a great place nearby. Through the long summer days here at Big Stratton Reservoir, high temperatures typically reach the 70's while nighttime                  lows are generally in the 40's.
