Roundup Basin is a brilliant place to stretch your legs a bit; the snow is tremendous at Irwin Lodge. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Big Seep Reservoir reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 30's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Big Seep Reservoir are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Comanche Campground       since you're here at Big Seep Reservoir; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Tomishin Vlg Inn. Camping at Big Seep Reservoir is great fun, Onemile Campground is a great local campground; if you have time, Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is a national park worth visiting. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great earth it would be. Gunnison River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby, and hiking along the                  Gunsight Trail is nice fun. Take a hike on the Onemile Cattle Trail, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Fossil Ridge Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Big Seep Reservoir gets very little precipitation; most of the snow falls during December; the driest month is June.
