     This lake is so wonderful. An exciting thing to check out near Big Ruby Reservoir is Big Ruby Dam; if you came for an overnight stay Road Canyon Campground is a pleasant site to camp. Big Ruby Reservoir gets very little precipitation; July is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is June. These mountains rock, just look at all the entertaining stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. The Fern Creek Stock Driveway is a good hiking  
   trail near Big Ruby Reservoir, needless to say you could also stop at Ruby Lake if you're here; it's not far at all.
A quick visit to Quartz Creek in the vicinity of Big Ruby Reservoir is a splendid idea; there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Long Ridge Stock Driveway. Big Ruby Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you adore the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Big Ruby Reservoir. Nearby lakes? Sure, Fuchs Reservoir

You truly must like the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Going for a hike on the Middle Creek Stock Driveway is always a glorious adventure. Throughout the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Big Ruby Reservoir, and all through the night it cools down to the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Big Ruby Reservoir. Dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Pagosa Resort, and River Hill Campground is a delightful local campground.
