That right there is a lot of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains has it all. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Grand Junction; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Rim Trail. For the duration of the summer months at Big Pond temperatures are mostly in the 90's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down       to the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Big Pond. You're probably hooked on lakes, Rim Pond is one of those close by; nearby you discover the Snowshoe Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. Going for a hike on the Cabin Trail is always a fine adventure; camping at Divide Forks Campground is always a nice experience. It is very dried out here at Big Pond typically; all                  through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is June. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Hay Press Campground; get soaked paddling on Dolores River. Big Pond truly is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. Lakes are delightful; Middle Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Big Pond, and Wolf Hill is a peak you can catch a sight of from Big Pond.
