Colorado has many beautiful lakes and Big Mud Pond is one of them. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Bondholder Trail, and why not camp at Mesa Campground if you're here at Big Mud Pond. All year is a nice time in the San Juan Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Paddling on Cebolla River is so much fun, and if you came for an overnight stay

Black Canyon Of The Gunnison National Park is one of the destinations close to Big Mud Pond that are nice to go to, and dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Gunnison. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Mud Pond; Devils Hole Trail is a wonderful local trail, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Gunnison River. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the San Juan Mountains.

Mud Pond throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Big Mud Pond night low temperatures
throughout the winter are in the-10's. If you fancy the outdoors, you'll like Big Mud Pond. Take a hike on the Rough Creek Trail; The Water Wheel Inn is a great place to get some rest. Not much precipitation falls here at Big Mud
Pond; the month with most of the rain is August while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
