This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Big Lick Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Hill Creek Campground and Trailhead is a good place for that; obviously Cow Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth checking out. After a long day outdoors Valley Motel is a glorious place to spend a night or two. All through the warmest time of the year, highs generally are in the 80's at       Big Lick Reservoir. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 40's. Highs all through the wintertime are frequently in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Big Lick Reservoir sink into the-10's. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on White River - South Fork, and brilliant hiking is available along the Sleepy Cat Trail. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Lick Reservoir; Fayville Trail is a nice local trail,                  and a great close by hotel is Green Cabins. Yeah, come here to Big Lick Reservoir for a brilliant time. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend White River - North Fork; don't leave Big Lick Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Bailey Lake Trail. Around Big Lick Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; throughout the month of October you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is January. This is a great area for folks who like lakes.
