Why not stop by Big Lake if you're passing through these parts. High temperatures at Big Lake during the days of summer are in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Big Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. is mostly a quite waterless place; most of the rain falls through July, and February is when it's the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Big Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Edwards; do take
a hike on the Ironedge Trail. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Sawatch Range. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Big Lake; Lake Charles Trail is a good local trail; Eagle River is a good whitewater spot nearby.
You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Sawatch Range. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Fryingpan River, and if you need a spot to stay Centennial Condominiums
is a pleasant choice.
Big Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawatch Range. Vail is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood.
