Having a great time in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains is easy. Big Creek is close to Big Creek Reservoir and is always a pleasure to visit, and you can go for a hike on the Divide Forks Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Divide Forks Campground is a delightful place to camp, and don't leave Big Creek Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Gill Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful.       Camping at Big Creek Reservoir is fine fun, Hay Press Campground is a fine local campground, and if you get bored of Big Creek Reservoir you could also visit close by Big Creek Reservoir. Big Creek Reservoir is located in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Big Creek Reservoir; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 40's with temperatures at Big Creek Reservoir                  dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
