You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Park Range.
Near Big Creek Lake you hit upon the Luna Lake Trail which is a great hiking trail, and Big Creek Lake is a nice place to visit for more than one day, Summit Lake Campground is a nice place to camp nearby. Throughout the months of
summer at Big Creek Lake highs are frequently in the 80's, and the night is a tad colder of course, frequently in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at
Big Creek Lake plunge into the-10's. After a long day outdoors Western Lodge is a good place to spend a night or two, and a good site for whitewater paddling is Elk River.
