There's so much to do here at Big Creek Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Summit Lake Campground is a good spot for that. This location is peerless, just check out all the cool things to do right next door to Big Creek Lake. A day on the slopes of Steamboat is just what       you need; if you came to camp Dry Lake Campground is a brilliant spot to do that. And if that's not enough there's a lot more amusing things to do in the Park Range. The skiing at Howelsen Hill is glorious, and a lake nearby is Lake of the Crags. The Park Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. There are some magnificent whitewater spots on Elk River. Big Creek Lake gets very little rainfall; the month with most of the snow is December,                  and the driest month is August. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Crags Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Western Lodge. Big Creek Lake is right by the Luna Lake Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Elk River. During the summer here at Big Creek Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while Big Creek Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the-10's.
