Western Lodge is a delightful place to get some rest, and going for a hike along the Luna Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. That right there is plenty of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Park Range has it all. Nearby lakes? Sure, Lake of the Crags is near Big Creek Lake; if you're here you can take a hike along the Crags Trail. If you love the outdoors, you'll love       Big Creek Lake. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Elk River, and a pleasant place to camp here at Big Creek Lake is Dry Lake Campground. All through the summertime at Big Creek Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's, and the night is a bit cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Big Creek Lake dipping down into the-10's all through winter nights. It is very arid here at                  Big Creek Lake typically; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and the driest month of the year is August. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Park Range. The slopes of Steamboat are so inviting noone can resist, and you can have a good hiking adventure along the Big Creek Lake Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Winterwood Townhomes; if you've had enough of Big Creek Lake, Luna Lake is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Elk River. This lake is so wonderful. Gotta ski!
