A picturesque lake like Little Battlement Lake close to Big Battlement Lake is a perfect place to check out, and why not camp at Island Lake Campground while you're here at Big Battlement Lake. If       you need a place to stay Howard Johnson Express - Cedaredge is a brilliant choice, and Powderhorn is a nice local ski area. And that's not all you can do here at Big Battlement Lake. Big Battlement Dam is worth going to if you're here, and going for a hike on the Blue Grouse Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Spruce Grove Campground is a delightful local campground, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Bull and Brown                  Trail. During the summer months here at Big Battlement Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 90's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are frequently in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Big Battlement Lake.
