Bierstadt Lake is in the neighborhood of Chaos Canyon which is undeniably worth taking a look at; Bierstadt Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Glacier Basin Campground is a tremendous local campground. Not far from Bierstadt Lake, you'll discover Bear Lake which is a scenic lake, and Steep Mountain is painless to spot from Bierstadt Lake. Bierstadt Lake       is pretty dehydrated usually; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is November. Just can't get enough of Bierstadt Lake. Camping at Moraine Park Campground is always a great experience, and locations like Glacier Basin are nice to go to. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Long Peak Trail is always a glorious adventure, and whitewater paddling is great on Cache La Poudre River. So much entertaining                  stuff to do at Bierstadt Lake, so little time. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Front Range. Near Bierstadt Lake you stumble on the Boulder Brook Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and if you have time to spare, Rocky Mountain National Park is a national park worth stopping at. Estes Park Condos is a brilliant spot to get some rest, and why not a little side trip to Boulder Brook. During the months of summer at Bierstadt Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Bierstadt Lake sink into the 0's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Front Range. The Glacier Creek Trail is a delightful hiking trail near Bierstadt Lake, and Saint Vrain Creek - North has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by. So much fun stuff in the Front Range, just incredible.
