Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things close to Betty Lake. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Silverton, and the Deer Park Trail offers hiking at its best. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Betty Lake reach the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Betty Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. All the outdoors

for all you adrenaline junkies. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Betty Lake is a magnificent location to visit for more than one day, Pine River Campground is a magnificent location to camp nearby,
and hiking is a popular thing to do around Betty Lake; Whitehead Trail is a wonderful local trail. The snow is great at Kendall Mountain, and on a delightful day you acquire a tremendous view of Buffalo Peak from Betty Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
