Sunny Slope Reservoir is a lake in close proximity, and Berthoud Reservoir is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Loveland RV Village Campground is a brilliant local campground. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Big Thompson River, and there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the Round Mountain Trail. Not much rainfall falls here at Berthoud Reservoir; May is the wettest month with most rain, and       the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Jug Trail is always a glorious adventure. If you need a site to stay Super 8 Loveland/Fort Collins Area is a perfect choice, and why not visit Berthoud Dam since you're here. Dry warm beds await you at Quality Inn Loveland, and a golf course close by is Cattail Creek Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. At Berthoud Reservoir you always meet someone from Fort Collins-Loveland,                  and if you came to camp Boyd Lake is a perfect place to do that. So much amusing stuff close to Berthoud Reservoir, definitely amazing. Get wet paddling on Saint Vrain Creek - North, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Sunnyslope Reservoir. For the duration of the summer at Berthoud Reservoir highs are usually in the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's.
