     Take a hike on the Stoner Mesa Trail, and Dunton Hot Springs is a nice location to get some rest. High temperatures at Bench Spring Reservoir all through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's, and the night is a bit cooler of course, ordinarily in the 40's. For the duration of the winter the highs are usually in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Bench Spring Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Echo Basin  
   Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC is a good location to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Bench Spring Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at West Dolores Campground. This lake is so wonderful.
While you're here at Bench Spring Reservoir, you could also take a look at striking Dressel Number Two Reservoir; you can have a perfect hiking adventure along the Eagle Peak Trail. It is very dried out here at Bench Spring Reservoir ordinarily;
 
               the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Just can't get enough of Bench Spring Reservoir. A quick visit to Deer Creek in the vicinity of Bench Spring Reservoir is a brilliant idea, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Dolores River.
Hiking along the Twin Spring Trail is delightful fun. There's so much to do here at Bench Spring Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Mavreeso Campground is a magnificent place for that. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Big Spring, and Saddle Reservoir Number Two is a nearby lake that you could go to.

Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed....
