It's always fun to stop by Bench Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to come across some smiling folks from Edwards here, and there are some great whitewater spots on Homestake Creek. At Bench Lakes you don’t see much rain; throughout the month of July you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Bench Lakes. A day on the slopes of Ski Cooper is just what you

| | need, and Gold Park Campground is a great local campground. Why not camp at Mary Queen Campground since you're here at Bench Lakes, and The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch is a tremendous location to get some rest. Be careful coming to the Sawatch Range, you might not ever want to return home again. Do stop at Upper Homestake Lake close to Bench Lakes, it's a wonderful lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Fryingpan River. If the weather is splendid here | |

at Bench Lakes, you can go for a hike along the Highline Trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Beaver Creek is reasonably near. This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail in close proximity to Bench Lakes called
the Mount Massive Trail; Mormon Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by. That right there is a heap of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Sawatch Range has it all. The Main Range Trail is a fine hiking trail in close
proximity to Bench Lakes; dry warm beds await you at Christie Lodge. Bench Lakes is located in the Sawatch Range. During the warm days of summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Bench Lakes. When the night sets in temperatures
plunge down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Bench Lakes descend into the 0's.
