Man, is there plenty of enjoyable stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. Lakes are such serene places, why not stop at Mormon Lake close to Bench Lakes, and if you came for an overnight stay Gold Park Campground is a magnificent location to camp. Upper Homestake Lake is a great lake right next door to Bench Lakes, and don't leave Bench Lakes without first going for a hike along the Mount Massive Trail. Going for a       hike on the Highline Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Homestake Creek. Yeah, come here to Bench Lakes for a tremendous time. Why not camp at Mary Queen Campground while you're here at Bench Lakes, and get dripping wet paddling on Fryingpan River. This lake is so wonderful. The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch is a delightful site to get some rest, and the slopes of Ski Cooper are so inviting noone can resist. This lake                  is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Christie Lodge, and at Bench Lakes you always meet someone from Edwards. So many entertaining things to do here in the Sawatch Range, too wonderful to be true. What would winter be without some skiing at Beaver Creek, and you can go for a hike on the Main Range Trail. Bench Lakes gets very little rainfall; July is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Summertime highs at Bench Lakes usually tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's.
