Dunham Dam is a scenic site close to Belmear Lake; there's tremendous hiking along the Stoner Mesa Trail. Mavreeso Campground is a good campground here, and Dolores River is a splendid whitewater spot close by. Dunham Reservoir is a nice lake in the vicinity of Belmear Lake, and if you need a place to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a wonderful choice. The Eagle Peak Trail offers hiking at its best, and don't leave Belmear                  Lake without first checking out The Rincon. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Belmear Lake.
