Going for a hike on the Hammond Trail is always a glorious adventure; if the weather is pretty, you acquire a tremendous panorama of Twin Knobs from Beaver Reservoir. Don't leave Beaver Reservoir without first       going for a hike along the Through Line Trail, and whitewater paddling is delightful on Anthracite Creek - Ruby Fork. From a precipitation point of view Beaver Reservoir is a reasonably normal spot; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is June. This lake is so wonderful. High temperatures at Beaver Reservoir through the summer months are in the 80's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Beaver Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Sunlight Mountain Inn is a nice spot to spend a night or two, and camping at Crystal Meadows Ranch is always a fine experience.
