Beaver Ponds gets very little rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. All year is a great time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. There are some nice whitewater spots on Rio Grande, and if you came to camp Antlers Rio Grande Lodge is a glorious place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Don't       leave Beaver Ponds without first going for a hike along the La Garita Stock Driveway. There's so much to do here at Beaver Ponds that you need to camp here for a while, Mountain Views RV Resort is a brilliant place for that. All through the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 70's at Beaver Ponds, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at                  Beaver Ponds temperatures plunge to the-10's. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. There are brilliant locations to look at along the Skyline Trail, and Organ Mountain is gorgeous and can be seen from here. This is a splendid neighborhood for people who like lakes. Machin Lake is a lake in close proximity, and there's great hiking along the Wason Stock Driveway. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Beaver Ponds.
