If you come at the right time of year, Rio Grande offers some good whitewater; Mountain Views RV Resort is a nice campground nearby. So much fun stuff to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, too magnificent to be true. Going for a hike on the Wason Stock Driveway is always a tremendous adventure, and Machin Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth going to. At Beaver Ponds through the long summer days highs       are in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Beaver Ponds dipping down into the-10's throughout winter nights. At Beaver Ponds you don’t see much precipitation; through August this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. The Skyline Trail is a tremendous hiking trail near Beaver Ponds, and you're probably addicted to lakes, Benito Lake is one                  of those nearby. Beaver Ponds is located in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Beaver Ponds. A glorious view of pretty La Garita Peak is available from Beaver Ponds, and if you need a place to stay The Spruce Lodge is a magnificent choice. This lake is so wonderful. Man, is there heaps of exciting stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. After a long day outdoors Allington Inn and Suites is a good location to spend a night or two, and you can stay the night at Palisade Campground. Nearby lakes?
