     Good hiking is available along the McPhee Stock Trail, and a magnificent place is Bean Canyon. Don't miss out on a trip to Mesa Verde National Park while you're here at Beaver Point Number Three Reservoir, and the Ormiston Point Stock Driveway offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Beaver Point Number Three Reservoir, you could also have a look at charming Beaver Point Reservoir. Any time is a good time at Beaver Point  
   Number Three Reservoir if you love the outdoors. Camping at Dolores River RV Park is always a delightful experience, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Beaver Point Number Three Reservoir; Stoner Stock Trail is a delightful local trail.
Summertime highs at Beaver Point Number Three Reservoir regularly tend to be in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Beaver
 
               Point Number Three Reservoir overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 10's. Beaver Point Number Three Reservoir is pretty arid mostly; of all the months in a year October is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is June. A great close by hotel is Days Inn Cortez, and paddling on Dolores River is so much fun.
This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Point Number Three Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Cozy Comfort RV Park and Mountain Retreat is a good local campground; you'll stumble on a beautiful lake called Beaver Point Number Two Reservoir. If you need a location to stay Dunton Hot Springs is a delightful choice; obviously House Creek flows through this neighborhood.

Puett Reservoir
A.M. Puett Reservoir was originally constructed in 1905, and then reconstructed in 1960. It contains 163 surface acres when full and is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife and open for public fishing from the bank and from trolling motor powered boats. No swimming is allowed. The lake is on private land and access is limited to 3 feet above the high water line....

La Mesa RV Park
We stayed in this campground mid-July 2006. Very efficient, friendly park. Adequate power, water, and sewage hookups. Rates were reasonable; and the manager did indicate that longer stays were discounted. Nice fenced dog run for our puppies to enjoy. The microbrewery in town has a wide selection of locally made beverages. I would gladly stop at La Mesa RV Park again....

Summit Reservoir

Summit Lake was constructed in 1905 and reconstructed and enlarged in 1938. It is owned and operated by the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company. It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed....
