You can never get enough of the great skiing at Steamboat, and Elk River is a nice whitewater spot close by. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! The Park Range is peerless! Really fine skiing awaits you at Howelsen Hill, and you're in all probability hooked on lakes, North Lake is one of those close by. This lake is so wonderful. Now, you may think that's heaps but there's even more       enjoyable stuff to do here in the Park Range. On a great day at Beaver Lake you can take a hike along the North Lake Trail, and a tremendous close by hotel is Western Lodge. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Beaver Lake. If you need a place to stay CrossTimbers at Steamboat is a delightful choice, and if you've had enough of Beaver Lake, Three Island Lake is nearby. At Beaver Lake throughout the summertime highs are in the 80's, and all through summer                  nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Beaver Lake drop into the-10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Park Range. It is very dried out here at Beaver Lake regularly; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and August is when it's the driest. While you're here at Beaver Lake you can take a hike along the Three Island Lake Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Beaver Lake has to offer, you can camp at Hinman Campground. This lake is so wonderful. There is a brilliant hiking trail near Beaver Lake called the Gilpin Trail.
