Beaver Lake is located in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. All through the warm months at Beaver Lake highs are commonly in the 60's. Summer night lows descend down to the 40's. Highs during the winter are generally in the 30's with temperatures at Beaver Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. You can run the       rapids of Rio de los Pinos close to Beaver Lake; Beaver Lake is right by the Red Lake Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Beaver Lake a wet site; during the month of March you get the most snow around here, and June is the month with the least moisture. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Hiking along the Notch Trail is splendid fun. If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Beaver Lake. The Posos Trail offers                  hiking at its best, and do have a look at South Elk Creek since you're here at Beaver Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A great place like First Meadows here at Beaver Lake is too nice to miss, and a wonderful nearby hotel is Branding Iron Motel. Stay the night at Spectacle Lake Campground; Best Western Movie Manor is a tremendous place to get some rest.
