This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan Mountains. There's whitewater on Rio de los Pinos for all you adrenaline people; Duck Lake is a wonderful lake nearby. This spot, the San Juan Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. Stay the night at Conejos Campground, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Posos Trail. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the San Juan Mountains.       Dry warm beds await you at Conejos River Hostel; the Notch Trail is a splendid hiking trail nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Beaver Lake is a great place to camp, Spectacle Lake Campground is a great place, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Red Lake Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Now, you may believe that's loads but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Beaver Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if                  it's for you then we recommend Conejos River, and First Meadows is a glorious spot. Summertime at Beaver Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 60's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Beaver Lake dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. Beaver Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the month of March is the wettest with most of the snow, and June is when it's the driest. Red Bear Inn is a pleasant site to get some rest; if you're looking for some flowing water?
