High temperatures at Beaver Lake all through the warm days of summer are in the 60's; the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. For the period of the winter the highs are generally in the 30's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Beaver Lake drop into the 0's. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Paddling on Rio de los Pinos is so much       fun, and if you need a place to stay Branding Iron Motel is a glorious choice. So many amusing things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, not enough time. Going for a hike along the Conejos Stock Driveway will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and if you came to camp Conejos Campground is a delightful site to do that. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Conejos River. There's so much to do here at Beaver Lake that you need to camp                  here for a while, Spectacle Lake Campground is a nice place for that. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day at Beaver Lake you can take a hike along the Posos Trail, and a beautiful lake like Dry Lake is a tremendous place to stop at. Lots of rain falls at Beaver Lake; March is the wettest month with most snow; June on the other hand is the driest. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. While you're here at Beaver Lake you can take a hike along the Notch Trail; La Grulla Lake is a delightful lake close by.
