Colorado has many beautiful lakes and Bear Springs Reservoir is one of them. Around Bear Springs Reservoir you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is January. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Bear Springs Reservoir dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. There are some good whitewater spots on Purgatoire River, and Holiday Inn Express La Junta-Hwy 50, Co is a glorious location to get some rest. | |
