Bear Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. West Dolores Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and a lake close by is High Reservoir. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Bear Reservoir. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 30's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Bear Reservoir tend to be in the 0's. | | Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could go to. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Bear Reservoir. While you're here at Bear Reservoir you can take a hike along the Little Bear Trail; a tremendous place is Ellermeyer Gulch. This lake is so wonderful. for an overnight stay Priest Gulch Campground and RV is a delightful site to camp, and after a long day outdoors Dunton Hot Springs is a great place to spend a night or two. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Bear Reservoir;
August is the month that gets the most rain, and June is when it's the driest. Going for a hike along the Priest Gulch Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; unsurprisingly Bear Creek flows through this neighborhood.
Echo Basin Dude And Guest Ranch, LLC is a wonderful spot to get some rest, and if you come at the right time of year, Dolores River offers some glorious whitewater.

It contains 402 surfqace acres when full. The lake is stocked with fish by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW) and open for public fishing. Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only. The public access is maintained by the DOW. The only facilities present is a boat ramp and a pit toilet. No fires, swimming or overnight camping is allowed.... |
