Lots of folks from Edwards come to Bear Lake, and camping at Stagecoach is always a great experience. What a spot this is for outdoors people. There's tremendous hiking along the Service Creek Trail; swing by Jack Creek it's a magnificent place to explore. Don't leave Bear Lake without first going for a hike along the Muddy Slide Trail, and Thorpe Mountain is gorgeous and can be distinguished from here. This lake is       so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Black Dog Inn is a great choice; a great place to camp here at Bear Lake is Steamboat Springs Koa Steamboat Springs Koa. The skiing at Howelsen Hill is brilliant; after a long day outdoors Oak Creek Motel is a perfect location to spend a night or two. Around Bear Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; through the month of March you get the most snow around here, and June on the other hand is the driest. Go for a                  hike on the Ute Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Elk River. At Bear Lake throughout the months of summer highs are in the 80's while night lows are regularly in the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Bear Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
