High temperatures at Bear Lake during the summer are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Bear Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Knights Inn Walsenburg is a wonderful choice, and the peak of Steep Mountain can be spotted from Bear Lake. What a site this       is for outdoors folks. Camping at Blue Lakes Campground is always a brilliant experience, and the Peaks Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Eldora has great slopes and a friendly staff, and nearby you find the Indian Creek Trail which is a great hiking trail. You clearly ought to have a thing about the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. You could also stop at Wolf Lake while you're here at Bear Lake; it's nearby; on a good day you can take a hike along the Indian                  Trail. Bear Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Bear Lake Campground is a fine local campground, and Bear Lake is not the only site close by, Blue Lakes is a close by lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
