Do stop by Bear Lake while you're in this part of Colorado. Bear Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sawatch Range. The snow is good at Monarch, and the South Pine Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Bear Lake. You can see Birthday Peak from Bear Lake, and float down the rapids of Clear Creek in a kayak.

| | need to camp here for a while, Hughes Meadow Campground is a perfect place for that, and since you're here, you could pop by Horn Fork Creek. Bear Lake is typically a pretty arid location; the month with most of the rain is August, and October on the other hand is the driest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things at Bear Lake.

Colt Spring Campground is a glorious site to do that, and if you need a spot to stay Best Western Vista Inn is a good choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Texas Creek Trail, and a good close
by hotel is Buena Vista Super 8 Motel. All through the summertime here at Bear Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 30's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are usually
in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Bear Lake throughout the winter usually fall into the-10's. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Sawatch Range. There's great hiking along the Horn Fork Trail, and a visit to Horn Fork Basin revitalizes the spirit.
