This lake is so wonderful. A fine place for whitewater paddling close to Bear Creek Lake is South Platte River, and you're almost certainly into lakes, Harriman Lake is one of those close by. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff right next door to Bear Creek Lake will keep you coming back over and       over. Oakwood at Retreat at Fox Hollow is a wonderful place to get some rest. All through the summertime, highs regularly are in the 80's at Bear Creek Lake. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. During the winter highs are usually in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Bear Creek Lake are in the 10's. Do stop at Bear Creek Dam if you're here at Bear Creek Lake, and a round of golf at nearby Fox Hollow at Lakewood Golf Course is a great way                  to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp South Park Lodge and RV Park is a splendid site to do that, and during your journey here you'll meet some people from Denver-Aurora for sure. It's a fine idea to stop by Turkey Creek, it's in the vicinity of Bear Creek Lake, and Mount Carbon is clearly visible from Bear Creek Lake. If the weather is great here at Bear Creek Lake, you can go for a hike along the Mesa Trail. Lakes are tremendous; Bergen Number 5 Reservoir is a lake that's near Bear Creek Lake. Bear Creek Lake is a location that is reasonably dehydrated regularly; the wettest month of the year is frequently May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is January. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Bear Creek Lake rules! Camping at Chatfield is always a tremendous experience, and a journey to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument is worthwhile.
