Do stop by Baxter Reservoir while you're in this part of Colorado. Going for a hike on the Elk Park Trail is always a splendid adventure, and do visit Crawford Reservoir, it's a gorgeous lake. Baxter Reservoir gets very little rain; the month with most of the rain is October, and June on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Baxter Reservoir you obtain some glorious water scenery at Baxter Dam, and glide down the rapids of Gunnison

| | River in a kayak. There is a tremendous hiking trail near Baxter Reservoir called the Green Mountain Trail, and you can stay the night at Crawford. Having a fine time at Baxter Reservoir is simple. There's some flowing water close by, McDonald Creek is a stream you can take a look at during your stay, and Baxter Reservoir is a brilliant place to visit for more than one day, Mountain Valley Meadows RV Park is a brilliant place to camp nearby. the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Baxter Reservoir dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
