But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Baxter Lake. Big Owl Hill can be distinguished from Baxter Lake, as expected you could also stop by Bacon Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Baxter Lake and you like golf, you can explore Ute Creek Golf Course, and Longmont/Twin Peaks Super 8 Motel is a great location to get some rest. Baxter       Dam is not far at all from Baxter Lake, and after a long day outdoors Budget Host Exit 254 Inn Loveland is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two. Paddling on Saint Vrain Creek - North is so much fun, and close by you stumble on good spots like Big Hollow. If the weather is tremendous here at Baxter Lake, you can go for a hike along the Round Mountain Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Baxter Lake has to offer, you can camp at Rising                  Star. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Big Thompson River, and you can stay the night at Johnson's Corner Campground. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of folks from Fort Collins-Loveland here at Baxter Lake. Baxter Lake is a location that is pretty dried out mostly; May is when you get the most rain here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Throughout the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Baxter Lake; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
