In Colorado there are many beautiful lakes, Bauer Reservoir is one of them. After a long day outdoors Dunton Hot Springs is a glorious site to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Stoner Mesa Trail is always a perfect adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Hesperus Ski Center is one of those things you just ought to do, and there are wonderful places to explore along the Spring Creek Trail. If only every place had this much outdoors

Public access is from highway 184 on the north side of the lake. There is a boat ramp. Fishing is allowed from the bank or from hand powered or trolling motor powered boats only.
