Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Lou Creek Trail; if you need a site to stay Ouray Chalet Inn is a perfect choice. For the duration of the months of summer at Bates Lakes highs are generally in the 80's;
the overnight is a bit chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Bates Lakes dip into the 10's. Around Bates Lakes you don’t get a lot of rain; most of the rain falls during September while February is usually the driest month.
