Sure, Hampton Lake is just a very short distance away. This lake is so wonderful. This is a perfect vicinity for       folks who like lakes. Fish Creek Reservoir Number 2 is a lake in the vicinity, and if you crave a little side spree, try Lou Creek Pass. Bates Lakes is good enough to spend more than a day at, Big Cimarron Campground is a good local campground, and there are great spots to discover along the Deer Creek Trail. Get your heart beating on the magnificent whitewater of Cimarron River, and don't leave Bates Lakes without first going for a hike along the Courthouse                  Trail.
